For our client's Complex Projects department, they are looking for a Technical Manager who wants to pioneer, build and put the technical strategy firmly on the map. Whether it concerns wind farms, solar parks, gas installations or hydrogen pipelines, they arrange everything from A to Z, often in collaboration with other companies. In this way, they play a crucial role in one of the greatest challenges of our time: the energy transition.
The role as Technical Manager is nationwide. However, you will often be found traveling to different regions within the Netherlands where the projects are permitted. You will work in a team with experienced engineers and specialists, but you will also have a lot of contact with project leaders and operations managers at other locations.

As Technical Manager, this person is the driving force behind the most innovative projects. The engineering team is managed, technical quality is monitored and more efficient and smarter working methods are ensured. No day is the same: sometimes the focus is on one large project, other times multiple projects are managed simultaneously.

Building and managing: Coordinating the engineering team and ensuring a clear division of tasks.
Technical strategy: Determining the technical course and translating complex challenges into concrete solutions.
Collaborating and connecting: Connecting with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to make projects a success.
Professionalizing: Improving processes, monitoring quality and ensuring that technical knowledge is widely shared.
What do you need
What we ask of you:
You are a strategic thinker with a practical approach. You have experience in managing technical teams and get energy from complex, innovative projects.
In addition:
You have completed a higher professional education/university education in a technical field. An electrical engineering background is a bonus, but not a must.
You have demonstrable leadership experience, for example as a team lead, manager, design leader or project manager.
You think strategically, but you are also pragmatic enough to solve technical challenges.
You have experience in the infrastructure, offshore, utility or maritime sector (or a comparable technical environment).
You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.
