Vacancy information
As a Senior System Engineer E&I, you play a key role in translating customer and system requirements into robust electrical power systems. You’ll join our Engineering department (approx. 30 engineers) and be part of a dedicated E&I team of five specialists.
You’ll be responsible for the conceptual and basic design, managing the full technical process from specification to verification. As this is a new role, you’ll have the opportunity to pioneer and shape the direction of E&I engineering within our organization.
- Drafting system requirement specifications (incl. ISO15288);
- Designing and specifying AC/DC power systems, drives, and energy storage systems;
- Performing studies including load flow, voltage drop, harmonics, short circuit (AC/DC), and selectivity analysis;
- Preparing technical procurement specifications and coordinating suppliers;
- Managing and reviewing the work of (detail) engineers and third parties;
- Integrating subsystems such as CCTV, lightning protection, AOL, HVAC, etc.;
- Preparing verification procedures and test plans (EITR, FAT, commissioning);
- Actively contributing to standardization, knowledge sharing, and process optimization within the team.
What do you need
- At least 10 years of experience as a System Engineer E&I in multidisciplinary projects;
- Higher professional or academic education (HBO+/MSc) in Electrical Engineering;
- Strong experience in power distribution, drives, and energy system studies;
- Solid understanding of systems engineering across all design phases;
- Experience with SKM Powertools, ETAP, and/or MATLAB/Simpowersystems;
- Familiarity with E-plan and Autodesk is a plus;
- Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Independent, precise, and takes ownership;
- Proven experience with supplier management and outsourcing.
