Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, including greenfield developments, offshore platforms, and high-voltage (HV) substations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive instrumentation and telecommunication engineering solutions.

As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed design deliverables such as cable lists, block diagrams, layouts, termination diagrams, and loop diagrams. You will also develop key engineering documents like cause-and-effect diagrams, control narratives, and network architecture diagrams.

This role involves preparing specifications, conducting technical bid evaluations (TBE), and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for various systems, including SCADA/DCS, telecommunication systems (e.g., CCTV, PAGA, radio systems, LAN, and WiFi), and fire and gas detection systems. You will contribute your expertise to ensure designs meet safety and operational requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in advanced engineering tools, including E3D and Smart Plant Instrumentation, is essential. Your experience with offshore platform design, HV substations, and telecommunication engineering will be critical to your success in this role.

What do you need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation or related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong background in greenfield telecommunication engineering and offshore platform design.
  • Proficiency in E3D and Smart Plant Instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing specifications, TBEs, and attending FAT for key systems, including SCADA/DCS and telecommunication systems.
