These include offshore wind transformer stations, floating wind platforms, hydrogen platforms and projects within the oil and gas industry.

As a Buyer, you will play an important role in complex technical projects that contribute to the energy transition. Our client is involved in leading offshore projects, including offshore wind transformer stations, floating wind platforms, hydrogen platforms and projects related to the oil and gas industry. In this role, you ensure that materials and services are procured on time, cost-effectively and in line with the required quality standards.
You will be responsible for the procurement of materials and services for complex technical projects. This includes managing supplier relationships, monitoring delivery schedules, supporting contract management and helping to optimize procurement processes. With your strong focus on planning, quality and cost control, you contribute directly to sustainable, high-quality and cost-efficient solutions for offshore energy projects.
You are proactive, persistent and take ownership of achieving project goals related to planning and cost control. You identify supply chain risks at an early stage and propose practical alternatives, while always keeping the overall project schedule in mind. You work closely with colleagues from engineering, project management and finance to develop integrated solutions that support successful project delivery.
In this position, your contribution has a direct impact on the quality and progress of projects that help shape the future of energy generation. You will join a professional Procurement team consisting of experienced buyers and project professionals. The working environment is open, collaborative and results-driven. You will report to the Procurement Manager and maintain frequent contact with internal stakeholders and suppliers around the world.
What do you need
- Bachelor’s degree in, for example, technical business administration, supply chain management or a similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably within the offshore, energy or technical industry.
- Experience with contract management, delivery planning, cost efficiency and quality assurance.
- Affinity with sustainability and the energy transition.
- Strong negotiation skills, including detailed terms and conditions and other commercial aspects.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset.
- Collaborative attitude, with the ability to focus on your own tasks and responsibilities while working in a team environment.
- Ability to identify supply chain risks early and propose suitable alternatives.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Good command of the Dutch language is a plus.
