Our client is looking for a Datacenter Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, drive service excellence, and lead a high-performing technical team. In this role, you will balance people leadership with operational execution, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with performance targets.

You will coach and develop team members, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. At the same time, you will manage data center operations, including vendor coordination, resource planning, and adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and operational standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams on initiatives related to safety, compliance, and infrastructure optimization.

The role also includes ownership of service delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and strong stakeholder satisfaction. You will oversee incident management, drive root cause analysis, and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues. Financial oversight is part of your responsibilities, requiring you to manage budgets, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making.

You will create an agile and collaborative work environment, remove operational barriers, and ensure your team is equipped to meet current and future demands. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide insights on risks, dependencies, and opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and continuous improvement.

What do you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Supply Chain Management
  • 6+ years of experience managing large-scale data center or critical environment operations
  •  Proven ability to manage service delivery, including SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
  • Experience working in data center or critical infrastructure environments (e.g., power systems, cooling systems, or IT hardware)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and retain diverse teams
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs, and making data-driven financial decisions
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in incident management and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of safety, compliance, and operational best practices in high-availability environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, cabling)
  • Experience managing large budgets (e.g., $1M+)
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CompTIA, CCNA, or similar
