We are looking for an experienced BESS Engineering Expert to support the development and delivery of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, integration, and optimization of energy storage solutions that play a key role in accelerating the energy transition.
Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design and feasibility studies to commissioning and operational handover.

We are looking for an experienced BESS Engineering Expert to support the development and delivery of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, integration, and optimization of energy storage solutions that play a key role in accelerating the energy transition.
Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design and feasibility studies to commissioning and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and technical development of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Define system architectures and prepare technical specifications for battery storage projects.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and integration concepts.
- Perform technical assessments, simulations, and feasibility studies.
- Support procurement activities through technical vendor evaluations and bid assessments.
- Interface with grid operators, suppliers, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and grid code regulations.
- Provide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, testing, and operational phases.
- Monitor market developments and emerging technologies within energy storage and grid flexibility solutions.
What do you need
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related discipline.Proven experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power systems, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of:Battery technologies (Lithium-Ion and other storage technologies)
- Power Conversion Systems (PCS)
- Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) systems
- Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- SCADA systems
- Protection & Control systems
- Grid integration and grid-code compliance
- Renewable energy technologies such as solar PV and wind energy
- Experience with power system studies, load flow analyses, and electrical calculations.Familiarity with electrical design software and engineering tools.Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including:IEC 61850
- IEC 62933
- IEC 60364
- Grid code requirements
- Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and performance testing is highly desirable.Understanding of system reliability, safety studies, risk assessments, and design validation processes.
