PLC Lead Engineer – Zoetermeer

Organization

Our client develops, realizes and maintains IT platforms, automation solutions and other systems for bridges, tunnels, barriers, locks and (water) roads in order to increase the quality of life, road safety and sustainability.

Function

  • You participate in the project team to create the final solution for the customer and to eventually put it into operation at the end customer’s site.
  • You are responsible for carrying out (part of) the PLC related engineering activities of the project.
  • You make an implementation design based on requirements, including writing documentation.
  • You translate the implementation design into implementation and test.
  • You supervise junior PLC software engineers.
  • You are responsible for purchases with external suppliers, commissioning at the end customer and providing aftercare.

Requirements

  •  A completed HBO or WO education in the field of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
  • At least 3-6 years of work experience in the field of technical automation.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with industrial automation in the infrastructure (tunnels, bridges, locks, etc).
  • Knowledge to help think about the surrounding hardware and network components.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, Audio, Operation & Control, Failsafe PLCs, networking is an advantage.
