Function

  • Manage and supervise Interface- and System engineers to ensure successful project engineering.
  • Oversee the engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, power distribution units, bus bar systems, digital protection, automation and monitoring systems, and modular solutions (E-Houses and Skids).
  • Ensure functional alignment and realization of various designs and disciplines within agreed budget and schedule.
  • Manage a dynamic environment with short lead times and high customer requirements.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients, providing advice and coordinating designs and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager throughout the projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and foster strong client relationships.
  • Conduct visits to factories and project sites, both domestic and international.
  • Supervise factory testing, attend customer meetings, and coordinate site work as required.
  • Work primarily from the office in The Hague, the Netherlands, with occasional travel to project locations.

Requirements

  • Completed HTS or TU degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience as a (lead) engineer in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Practical and theoretical expertise in low- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, short-circuit and selectivity calculations, and standards such as IEC 61439.
  • Proficient in preparing technical reports and test plans.
  • Demonstrates creativity, positivity, and effective communication skills to articulate ideas and inspire team members.
  • Capable of developing and executing engineering plans, monitoring progress, and achieving successful outcomes.
  • Experience in team collaboration, management, and coaching of engineers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle critical customers and navigate political and commercial aspects effectively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly for short business trips.
  • Resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Preferred knowledge of the Dutch language.
