As a Senior Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions across complex industrial projects. You’ll work with prominent clients in the food, chemical, and waste sectors — industries where automation is a game-changer.
From the concept phase through to commissioning, you’ll be actively involved in translating technical challenges into intelligent, robust solutions. Your experience in industrial automation will be invaluable as you guide projects forward and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing, coordinating, and executing industrial automation projects from A to Z;
- Translating client requirements into functional and technical specifications;
- Programming, configuring, and testing PLC, SCADA, and/or HMI systems;
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and customers in dynamic project teams;
- Identifying opportunities for innovation or new business through a conceptual approach;
- Coaching junior engineers and sharing your technical knowledge;
- Ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery across all stages of your projects.
What do you need
You are an experienced and self-driven engineer with a strong affinity for industrial automation. You know what it takes to lead a project to success — technically and organizationally.
You recognize yourself in the following:
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial automation;
- Proficiency with PLC, SCADA, and/or DCS systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.);
- Solid understanding of industrial networks, protocols, and electrical engineering principles;
- Analytical thinker with strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- English (required) willing to learn Dutch;
