Our client based in the Netherlands is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.

They have a proven track record in offshore platforms, FPSOs, onshore facilities, and complex steel and mechanical installations for marine applications and they are making major strides in the offshore hydrogen production market. 

Vacancy information

  • As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the interdisciplinary coordination of an engineering team in multidisciplinary projects.
  • You support the project manager in terms of budget, planning/delivery times, and quality.
  • For specific projects, you fulfill the role of project leader yourself.
  • You maintain commercial contacts with (potential) clients and supervise tender processes for multidisciplinary projects.
  • You take professional decisions on interdisciplinary interfaces and you provide support in drawing up (multidisciplinary) specifications, specifications, contract documents, and general terms and conditions.

What do you need

  • We are looking for someone with a higher vocational or university education with a technical background, such as chemical technology, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • You have extensive experience in the offshore sector.
  • You know how to translate this knowledge and experience into an optimal design and a successful project.
  • You preferably have experience in various technical project positions within an engineering firm, for example as a project engineer or lead engineer.
  • You can negotiate with clients and contractors.
  • You have good adaptability since you will be working on location with the customer.
  • A good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
