Our client is seeking a flexible and communicative Operations & Planning Coordinator to join a close-knit team based in Rijswijk. In this role, you will coordinate the deployment of skilled (service) engineers to shipyards and vessels around the world, ensuring that rapidly changing schedules are continuously aligned with both internal resources and client expectations. You’ll handle incoming deployment requests, anticipate changes, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
This is not a standard logistical role — it requires creativity, commercial sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills. You’ll act as the central point of contact between various internal departments and the client, taking ownership of planning challenges and working out practical solutions under pressure. Your ability to remain calm, decisive, and client-focused will be key to your success.
What do you need
- 2+ years of experience in planning, operations coordination, or a similar role
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong customer orientation and commercial awareness
- Able to manage multiple shifting priorities under pressure
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Communicates clearly and directly, while maintaining client respect
- Comfortable working both independently and in a small, collaborative team
- Affinity with technical environments and offshore industry is a plus
- Willing to work from Rijswijk office at least 50% of the time
- Stress-resistant and eager to take initiative in a dynamic environment
A general level of technical knowledge is essential to understand the context of the work and communicate effectively with both clients and engineers. Experience in the offshore or maritime industry is a strong advantage. Strong English communication skills and a customer-first attitude are also key to success in this role. Over time, there’s room for role expansion and professional growth, depending on your ambitions.
