HV Electrical Engineer – The Netherlands

Function

A highly motivated and adaptable engineer, with experience in power systems. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to effectively present ideas to engineers and non-engineers alike. In your role as an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineering and technology solutions.

  • A highly motivated and adaptable engineer, able to communicate technical matters to technical and non-technical stakeholders both verbally and in written form;
  • Competent in technical document preparation, review and analysis;
  • BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • High level of English (spoken and written).


Requirements

  • Experience in EPC and detailed electrical engineering lumpsum projects;
  • Preferably experience in Concept Design & Feed phase;
  • Prepare specification & data sheets for purchase of electrical equipment and materials (inc. Technical bid evaluation and review of Vendor documentation);
  • Familiar with codes and standards of ATEX and IEC;
  • High technical knowledge in HV Substations;
  • Knowledge in the use of a range of bespoke software packages used for the simulation and design of HV power systems;
  • Knowledge of power system studies including, load flow, fault level, harmonic and protection analysis etc. (with Power factory Digsilent, ETAP, SKM);
  • Preferred: Grid connection/power generation feasibility studies: transient stability, EMT, EMF, Harmonics, powerfactor compensation, understanding of wind farm design.
