Construction Manager – Eemshaven

Organization

As Construction Manager you will need to ensure that your team is successful in every aspect of delivering the varied pipeline of works for our client in their live Data Centre Environment . You will lead your team and be accountable for each phase of project delivery from pre-construction, design management, construction, commercial, health & safety and project handover.

You will build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with your team and client representatives. As your clients requirements change and project demands differ, you will be responsible for managing resources and recruiting to build your team as necessary. Your team will be made up of experts in their own disciplines of MEP, CSA, EH&S and Commercial Management. As team leader you will support them and assist them with solving problems and overcoming project challenges. As a business we are passionate about the training and development of our people and as such you will work with you to identify and plan the development and training needs of you and your team.

The scope of projects we deliver for our clients range from simple small works through to business critical utility and infrastructure upgrades. As Construction Manager you must work with your team to ensure that project scopes have been understood and that all relevant client stakeholders have been engaged. As a team we must ensure that works are planned with meticulous attention to detail to ensure that our impact on the clients daily lives at work is always minimised.

You will be expected to identify and manage all risk items associated with the operation of your team and projects. You will report in to the Account Lead and will collate a report each month to record progress made, potential opportunities, project and resource concerns as well as update the business on our risk management plans.

  • Build strong and trusting relationships with your team and client
  • Be a strong and supportive leader invested in developing a team of future leaders
  • Take accountability for all projects from inception to completion
  • Build and develop teams of happy people to deliver a first class service and stay with the business
  • Complete all upstream reporting internally and externally
  • Responsibility for campus level budget control and commercial performance.

Requirements

  • Strong team leadership skills and experience required;
  • Good digital and personal communication skills essential;
  • Confidence and ability to present to an individual or group;
  • Very strong computer literacy essential;
  • Experience working in a Data Centre or live facility environment beneficial;
  • Construction or Engineering related qualification required;
  • Project Management Qualification beneficial;
  • Relevant Professional Body membership beneficial.
